It's been almost two weeks since Horton Hears a Who hit the theater. Unfortunately for Sarah and Kate the theaters in our new hometown don't open until 4:00 and there just hasn't been a good day to go. Sarah's spring break started Friday and we thought we'd finally have a chance to go . . . but alas Supermom had forgotten that daddy got tickets to a local hockey game. The girls were not thrilled . . . I mean how much fun could two little girls have watching a dumb old hockey game?
Well, let's see!!
The announcer got everyone pumped up.
And our little cheerleader whipped out some of her moves.
She screamed and cheered
and everyone in our section fell in love with her.

The the ticket dropping balloon came out into the crowd.
Oh boy . . . yell extra loud so it'll come our way.

Hey, we're here . . . !!! Woo hooooooo!!
~
Drop some tickets here . . .

Oh yeah, the girls had a blast! The local team is the Peoria Rivermen - they are not in the same league as the Coyotes so the rules were a bit different. I was shocked when a fight broke out and the players proceed to beat the heck out of each other while the Ref watched - then the crowd stood up and cheered egging the players on. I was even more surprised when my little princesses jumped up on their seats and screamed "Get em!"
To add to the fun, the arena does double features. Tonight they had a country singer perform after the game. After tomorrow night's game - midget wrestling. Can we say 'season tickets?'
