Birthday Party
This year, instead of a gi-normous bash Sarah chose to invite just two girlfriends and have a sleep over. The sleep over part had to be cancelled because we are having our basement finished. But she had a great party anyway. We went to paint pottery and then to dinner at the local seafood restaurant.
We started with goody bags and cupcakes.

Happy Birthday Diva.
Mom, why did you get me a zebra container? I was hoping for an iTouch.
Trooper-gate 2009Next we were off to the pottery place, where the girls painted their little hearts out. After that, we headed off to the restaurant. On the way, with four little girls in the car, Supermom was pulled over by a snotty state trooper. I know what you're thinking . . . Supermom didn't do anything wrong, except buy her car in Arizona where it's legal to have tinted windows. Yes, the snotty trooper stopped me because my front side windows were tinted - and they weren't even very dark. She gave me a warning on the windows, but Supermom got a ticket for not having up to date proof of insurance in the car. Uuuuuugh. (We had just renewed it, and had not received updated cards - thanks to Washington, Illinois' finest postal carriers. Of course, Supermom was smart enough to print out a temporary card online - but she wasn't smart enough to wait a day after paying the insurance bill. The card she printed had the old policy dates on it.) Nonetheless, Supermom will be in court on May 6th.
Sarah and Kate were crying because the trooper mentioned that it is expensive to remove window tint and it might be more cost effective to sell the car. Of course I knew she was loco but the girls really thought we'd have to sell our beloved Roxy Sequoia. And they took it personally!!
Incidentally, Superdad had the tint off in less than an hour. For Free!
Clearly it was no SuperTrooper who pulled us over. I wonder if I should mention how quickly Superdad removed the window tint when I go to court . . .
