Chocolate Fondu

For Valentines Day dinner Supermom made fondue. We went to the most gourmet market in Washington, Illinois and got special cheese, special chocolate, cream, fruit, bread . . . all the fixing for the best fondue the little Schultz girls have ever had.

The cheese course was not a big hit with anyone except Daddy. Next time we'll use apple juice instead of wine.

The chocolate course, on the other hand, was a huge hit. Particularly with our chocolate connoisseur: Kate.

Sarah will you dip one for me.
This apple core looks good.

This sugar buzz was almost immediate.

After dinner they did cartwheels and
hand stands for an hour.
Then they crashed.
The next day Supermom reheated the leftovers.
SUGAR BUZZ PART DEUX
Go Supermom.

The Rockwall

Kate is a climber. She's been climbing everything since she learned to crawl. There's even a story the girls love to tell about Supermom firing a nanny who lost Kate in the house. Where did we find Kate? Climbing a bookshelf in the living room.

Considering her love of climbing it's no surprise that Kate would want to climb the rock wall at Dick's. We've taken her over there many times before but she has never met the height requirement. Today we zipped over there certain that Kate would be allowed to climb . . . after all she has grown a few inches these last few months.

She ran into the store and went straight to the height line. Uuuuugh, just and inch short. Quiet tears filled her sweet little eyes. She was so disappointed.

Big sister to the rescue.

Sarah is not a climber and she really doesn't care for heights, but her love for her sister is bigger than all that.

I can do this.
I do yoga, I'm flexible, I'm strong.
I can do this.

This one's for you Baby Kate.

I can do this.

Here I go.

Hey, this is fun!

Almost there.

I totally did it.
Mom, can I have my birthday party here?
Unfortunately, when I did call to schedule Sarah's birthday party we learned that Dick's had closed the rock wall. Kate was devastated.

Christmas 2008

This year we're spending Christmas in Cinncinnati with Supermom's family. So the girls got to open many of their gifts before Christmas morning.

Goodies from Nana & Poppy!

Yay I got nails. Can I put them on??

Aunt Kelly & Uncle TC sent me a VIP!!

I love these nails!

I got a squeeky weiner dog.

I got a brand new pair
of roller skates.

Aunt Jilly flew to us in Illinois and then
drove to Cincinnati with us.
She brought Lou.
We were going to keep him,
but Laurel wouldn't have it.
She started marking territory.

Kate and Lou

We're so glad you're here Aunt Jilla
