Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving!
This year Granie and Grandpa spent a wonderful week with us over Thanksgiving. We ate our way through the week with turkey day - and several trips to Jimmy Johns which Granie and Grandpa loved!!
It seems I have an issue with taking pictures when we are with family, as I have just one this time. I really need to get better about this family picture thing . . . .

Halloween 2009

Once again, I don't have many pictures of this wonderful day.
It started with wearing our costumes to school,
where they had a parade and parties in the classroom.
Little Kat was a witch.
Here are the girls, getting ready to canvas the neighborhood. Sarah is a Skelanimal. Kaiden is a princess and Kate and Ella are witches.

It was a bit chilly this year, so we had to bundle up under our costumes. Here are Ella, Kate and Lindy having some snacks and getting warm after trick-or-treating.

Ackerman Farms 2009

Today we took a quick trip to Ackerman Farms to get some pumpkins for our Hallween theme in the front yard. It was intended to be a fast trip so we could keep decorating - no hayrides, no corn maze, no tour from Farmer John.

Of course we all know about intentions . . .

Our plans changed when we saw the face painter. Holy Cow! If I still had my Supermom Cape it would be taken away yet again. This lady was fantastic! She makes my face painting look like a two year old did it. So we got waylayed, Superdad was patient with us; I think after 18 years he knows how I am about face painting (and balloons.) I'm not alone on this right? Doesn't everyone like face paint and balloons?? Maybe I'm just a kid at heart, but here are three little beads of Supermom wisdom for you:
  1. Balloons make everything more fun. Even if mom or dad carries it for you.
  2. Face paint and fake tattoos are like balloons. Fun! Get them, enjoy them and get rid of them before bed.
  3. It's fun to wear costumes (Superdad and I are going to be Nick Jonas and Hannah Montana for Halloween this year.)

Happy Fall!

Fishing With Dad

We joined a lake club this year. It's not fancy but it's fun. They have a swimming area, a beach, docks to fish from, you can fish all over the lake and even go out on a small boat or canoe. At night and in the fall you can make bonfires and cook out in one of the many gazebos. Supermom joined the club so we could go swim with our friends and hang out at the "beach" during the week. I never thought that Superdad would end up loving the lake so much. As it turns out he's a fisherman. Who knew? I've only known the man for 18 years (eeeek, I'm old) been married to him for 13; you'd think that would have come out by now . . . I wonder what else I don't know about him?? Does anyone watch Dexter?

Yeah, I'm fishing. Do you like my purse?

I got a fish!!
.
.

See my fish?
.
Sarah is quite a fisher-woman.
.

I got a fish too.
.
.

This is fun!
.
.

I just have to say that camera phones ROCK!! Superdad is not a camera guy. He doesn't think to bring it anywhere and one day these priceless photos appeared on my laptop. Thank you AT&T.

No More Uniforms

Having left Catholic school everyone is asking how Sarah likes not having to wear a uniform. Well it's probably easier just to show you. These are some of her choices for the first week. I have to say she's gotten better since the first few days of school and she's really defined her own style. I'll be sure to post some new pics soon.

I LOVE my Skelanimal hoodie.

Once a Gap Girl, always a Gap Girl.

Justice is still cool.

First Day of School 2009

August 18, 2009 - the first day of school for the little Schultzitos. It was a half day; they got out at 11:30. Nonetheless little Kat was starving!! We have a tradition of lunch and shopping after school on the first day so we zipped off to Granite City for Kate's favorite Ceasar Salad and other goodies. They told me all about their first days.

I'm really tired. Yes, my teacher is nice.
Did I mention how tired I am?

Miss Westerman is awesome.
Mom, she's a Yeagley!!
I love her alredy.

Remember wolf face?

I guess you're never to tired to make your mom laugh!

Smilebox - First Day of School

I didn't know what to do with myself after taking the girls to school. So I made a smilebox scrapbook to share with the family.

Liberty and Justice for Girls

Sarah and Kate were asked to be in the back to school fashion show at their favorite store Justice. They've done this before - you'll recall their debut at Dillards. They had a really fun day!!

Over the Mountains and Across the Beltway . . .

We're off to Virginia (pronounced Vuh-gin-yuh, since we watched John Adams on HBO) to baptise our new nephew/cousin Reid. First stop (besides every rest stop in Indiana and Ohio) Great Wolf Lodge in Sandusky, Ohio.

This wolf den is cool!
.

I'm the mommy wolf (note my wolf face)
This is my sleeping baby.
.
I can totally do this!
.

Great Wolf Lodge rocks.
But we are really tired!
.
.

Congratulations baby Reid.
He's so cute!!
.
.

We're his Godparents too!!
.
.

Once again, I've failed to take pictures of the family while we were in Virginia. I even promised myself I would take pictures this year . . . what is wrong with me?? Goodbye cape - again.

THE BEACH

The hotel was so gross we only stayed one night and opted for a return trip to Great Wolf on the way home. But I must say, aside from the icky room, it was perfect.

Check out the view!!
.
.

Mom said I have to keep my clothes

on when I'm on the bed. This isn't
the cleanest place we've ever been.
.
.

We just left an awesome seafood buffet.
And then we got henna tattoos.
You rock Supermom!!
.
.

We both got tattoos!

We're leaving today, it was a nice visit though!
I think we should live here.

Where else can you brush your teeth
while standing on the cooler?
